Erwin Alvarez

Superintendent 

Erwin embarked on his journey with the Innisfail Golf Club in 1999, stepping in as the Assistant Superintendent following his Turf Management program at Olds College. Before his tenure in Innisfail, he honed his craft for six seasons at the Kananaskis Country Golf Course. With three decades in the golf industry under his belt, Erwin is set to mark his impressive 25th year at IGC next year.

Beyond the greens, he cherishes his role as a devoted husband to his supportive wife, Kim, and takes pride in being a father to two remarkable boys, Ethan and Kylan.

Kirk Evans

Head Professional

Kirk is a PGA of Canada professional with extensive experience in golf operations, instruction, and member engagement. Passionate about both the game and the business of golf, Kirk takes pride in creating a welcoming club environment while delivering high-level service to all members and guests, which was recognized when Kirk and his team were awarded the 2025 PGA of Alberta ‘Retailer of the Year’ Award.

Whether he’s running events, working with players of all abilities, or building new traditions at the club, his goal is always to make the golf experience memorable and enjoyable.

Carman McAleese

Food & Beverage Manager

Carman has been a proud member of the IGC team for the past seven years. After spending 19 years operating her own private day home, she gradually transitioned from part-time to full-time employment with the club, beginning an exciting new chapter in her career.

Customer service and building strong relationships have always been at the heart of what Carman does. She enjoys connecting with people and has been actively involved in her community throughout the years. As her children grew up, she dedicated countless hours to supporting their activities, serving as a manager, treasurer, and committee member for various organizations.

Family remains incredibly important to Carman. She is the proud mother of her two adult children, Sydney and Dayne, and enjoys watching them pursue their own goals and achievements while cheering them on every step of the way.

When she’s not at the club, Carman enjoys travelling to sunny destinations, spending time with family and friends, attending lacrosse and hockey games, playing golf, and relaxing around a campfire.

Meagan Stroh

Meet Meagan, our seasoned team member with over 7 seasons at IGC! When she’s not crunching numbers at her desk, you’ll spot her perfecting her swing on the golf course or navigating river rapids on a kayak. With 23 years of bookkeeping experience across various industries like oilfields and minor hockey associations, Meagan brings a wealth of financial expertise to our team. She’s not just shaping our books—Meagan’s also shaping the next generation’s careers, as her children, Casey and Liam, aspire to become a superintendent and accountant, respectively.

Outside of work, Meagan and her boys share a love for golf, badminton, and swimming, while ticking off travel destinations from their bucket list, most recently Yellowstone, Seattle and Ireland.
